As we come to the end of another year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what 2025 has meant for Glisk, what we’re proud of, what challenged us, and what we’re taking forward into the year ahead.
If we had to sum up this year in a sentence, it would be: momentum, maturity, and a whole lot of sleeves-rolled-up work with great people.

This year we engaged with 10 clients across 42 engagements, which is a big jump in both reach and repeat work. The pattern we’re most proud of isn’t just growth, it’s trust. Most of those 42 engagements came from clients coming back, extending scope, or asking us to support new initiatives. That says more than any headline ever could.

And speaking of headlines…

We were thrilled (and still a little stunned) to place 7th on the AFR Fast Starters list, recognising the fastest-growing startups in Australia. Even better, we were the top placed professional services firm on the list. For a consulting business that is still relatively young, that’s a huge milestone, and a credit to the people who make Glisk what it is.

We also continued to listen hard to our clients and measure what matters. Our client survey results landed at an NPS of 9.2 this year. That number means a lot to us, because our whole business is built on relationships and delivery, not slide decks for their own sake.

The stuff that wasn’t easy

It wouldn’t be a real wrap without acknowledging that the year had its tough parts. The market didn’t make things simple. Clients across multiple sectors were facing budget pressure, shifting priorities, and delivery fatigue after a few intense years of transformation.

Internally, we also felt the growing pains that come with scale. As we moved faster, we had to get clearer on what not to do. We took on a few things that stretched us more than we wanted. And we didn’t land every goal we set at the start of the year.

But if there’s a silver lining, it’s that those moments forced us to sharpen our focus, lift our standards, and build more structure behind the scenes so that growth doesn’t come at the cost of quality.

Where we excelled

The flipside of challenge is progress — and there was plenty of that.

Delivery, delivery, delivery.

Clients kept telling us the same thing in different words: Glisk people get in, get aligned, and get things moving. We’ve heard reflections like:

“Working with Glisk on our payroll and time & attendance implementation project has been an exceptional experience. They took the time to deeply understand our business needs and also built strong connections across our organisation. Glisk brought a level of energy and fun to the project that made the entire process enjoyable. Glisk is a true partner in success, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Erin O’Brien, People Excellence Manager, Suntory Oceania

That spirit is exactly what we set out to build. A consulting firm that’s collaborative, practical, invested in outcomes, and fun to work with.

Our Guardian Framework.

This year we formally created the Guardian Framework, our methodology for tackling client work end-to-end. It’s not just a fancy picture, it’s backed by a structured Quality Management System (QMS) with tools, templates, processes, and exemplars that help our consultants deliver consistently excellent work, regardless of project shape or sector. We have a working group tasked with evolving our Framework and ensuring it stays relevant.

We’ve always believed that capability and collateral only matter if they show up in real delivery. Guardian is how we ensure they do.

Broader industry footprint.

When Glisk started, we were proud to be working across a handful of sectors. Now, that footprint is meaningfully wider, not just in the number of industries, but in the depth of work we’re undertaking with clients. The variety has been fantastic for our consultants and has allowed us to take learnings between clients for their benefit.

The team behind it all

Growth is great, but culture is the real multiplier. This year the Glisk team continued to demonstrate that strong cultures get results.

Some of the moments that stood out were simple but important: people backing each other, stepping into complex client situations when it wasn’t ‘their problem,’ and helping new joiners find their feet quickly.

We’d love to include a few team reflections here, because they capture the year better than any leadership summary:

“I’ve really found the work and environment at Glisk to be engaging and rewarding. I feel myself growing in my abilities, and the work continues to challenge me in the best ways. The projects are diverse, but what makes the biggest difference is the team’s support – whether it’s guidance, thoughtful advice, or simply being there to listen when I need a sounding board. We’re also lucky to work with clients who share our values, which makes collaboration feel natural and enjoyable. Because they take a people-first approach, just like we do, working together becomes easier, more productive, and enriching.”

Mel Eclarinal, Manager

“We often say time flies when you’re having fun, and this year reminded me how time can feel both fleeting and steady. Moments of fun and collaboration within Glisk and our clients made the days race by, while the focus on delivering meaningful outcomes combined with responsibility and purpose gave time a steady pace and significance. That balance, where fun meets impact, perfectly describes Glisk. I’ve had the privilege and joy of guiding talented team members while learning alongside them. What makes Glisk special is its culture and environment that not only foster collaboration to solve complex business challenges but also encourage continuous personal growth.”

Babu Narayanan, Principal Consultant

And because ‘Create Enjoyment’ isn’t just a line on a wall, we also made time for fun: lawn bowls, comedy nights, darts, gaming nights (board & computer), and escape rooms. These weren’t just ‘events for the calendar’, they were building the kind of place people want to work.

Looking ahead to 2026

Next year is about sustained, intentional growth. We want to keep scaling without losing what makes Glisk, Glisk: openness, teamwork, enjoyment, and always being better than yesterday.

We’re expecting a strong pipeline of work to continue into Q1 and beyond, including several key client projects already in motion. We’ll also be growing the team, and will likely be recruiting into roles across consulting delivery and internal enablement.

That’s a wrap for 2025.

To our clients: thank you for trusting us with meaningful work and letting us be part of your journey.

To our partners and supporters: thank you for opening doors, offering advice and backing us as we grow.

And to the Glisk team: you are the reason this business exists and the reason it continues to thrive.

Have a brilliant break, recharge properly, and we’ll see you in 2026 ready to Be Better.
